## Before you start

Before deleting a chatbot, make sure you have:
- A **saved chatbot** in your workspace list.
- A **paused or draft status** on the chatbot you want to remove.

> **Important:** Deleting a chatbot is **permanent and cannot be undone**. All conversational structures and settings for this assistant will be **completely erased from your account**.

## How to delete a chatbot

1. Log in to your Flownally workspace.
2. Go to the **Chatbots** tab.
3. You have two options on how to delete a chatbot:
	- From the chatbots list:
		1. Hover over the chatbot.
		2. Click on the **Delete** icon.
	- From the chatbot editor:
		1. Click on one of the existing chatbots.
		2. Click on the **Pause** button in the upper right corner.
		3. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner.
		4. Click on the **Delete chatbot**.

## What happens after deleting a chatbot?

After a chatbot is deleted, the assistant is permanently removed from your workspace. The chatbot stops responding to incoming customer messages immediately. Your dashboard list updates instantly to remove the deleted item.

## Troubleshooting

### Delete icon is not working

The delete is greyed out. This happens because the **chatbot is currently active**. You must **pause the chatbot first** before the system allows you to delete it.

### Chatbot stays in the list

The chatbot stays in your list after you click the delete icon. This is usually caused by a **temporary browser cache lag**. You need to **refresh your browser window** to update the dashboard view.
