Before removing a custom field, make sure you have:
- A custom field in your settings list.

> **Important:** Deleting a custom field completely erases all information stored inside that field for every single contact.

## How to remove a custom field

1. Log in to your Flownally workspace.
2. Go to the **Settings** tab.
3. Go to the **Custom fields** section.
4. Hover over the custom field.
5. Click on the **Delete** icon.

## What happens after removing a custom field?

After removing a custom field, the property is permanently deleted from your workspace settings. The system automatically wipes all historical data associated with this field from all customer records.

## Troubleshooting

### Delete icon missing

The delete icon does not appear when hovering over the field name. This is caused by a temporary screen rendering error. You should resize your browser window or reload the page to display it.

### Field remains visible

The custom field stays in your list after clicking delete. This happens due to a temporary database synchronization lag. You must log out and log back in to refresh the status.
