## What happens after renaming an event type?

After renaming an event type, the display name updates across your dashboard reports instantly. The system maps all past logs to the new title without affecting any tracking metrics.

## Troubleshooting

### Save changes fails

The system rejects your modifications when you click save. This happens because of a temporary backend response timeout. You must click the button again after a brief wait.

### Event type is locked

You cannot click on the event row to edit it. This occurs because you are trying to rename a system event. You must select a custom event type instead to make edits.
