Before you start
Before connecting WhatsApp number to Flownally, make sure you have:
- Admin access to your Flownally workspace.
- Access to the phone number you want to connect.
- Permission to manage your Meta Business Portfolio.
- Stable internet connection.
Important: You need admin permissions in Meta Business Suite to connect WhatsApp.
How to connect WhatsApp
- Log in to your Flownally workspace.
- Go to Channels.
- Click Connect WhatsApp.
- Log in to your Meta account.
- Choose or create a new Meta Business Portfolio and WhatsApp Business account.
- Add a new phone number.
- Provide the verification code.
- Confirm the permissions.
- Click Add payment method to add it to your new WhatsApp Business account in Meta now, or click Finish to finish adding your number.
Important: You need to add a payment method to your WhatsApp Business Account in Meta, to start sending messages.
- Return to Flownally and wait a few minutes for Flownally to integrate with Meta.
- Choose the number you want to add.
What happens after connecting WhatsApp?
After connecting WhatsApp, new WhatsApp conversations will appear in your Flownally shared inbox. Your team can reply to those conversations and manage them alongside Instagram and Messenger messages.
Troubleshooting
WhatsApp does not appear in my Flownally inbox
WhatsApp messages do not appear in your inbox. This can happen when the the channel is not active. Check whether the channel is active in the Channels tab. If the connection is inactive, reconnect WhatsApp and confirm that you completed all Meta authorization steps.
I cannot connect my WhatsApp Business account (WABA)
You cannot connect your WABA. This usually happens when you do not have the right permissions in Meta Business Manager. Make sure you have admin access to the WABA and permission to manage business integrations.
