Before you start
Before adding new event details to an event type, make sure you have:
- A custom event type already saved in your workspace.
Important: New event details will only capture data for future occurrences. Past events will not retroactively show information for these fields.
How to add new event details to an event type
- Log in to your Flownally workspace.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Go to the Event types section.
- Click on an event type.
- Click on the Add event detail button.
- Provide a name for the field.
- Choose a type for the field.
- If necessary, click on the Delete icon to remove the field.
- Click on the Save changes button.
What happens after adding new event details to an event type?
After adding new event details to an event type, the updated schema saves instantly to your workspace. The system will start recording these additional parameters the next time the event triggers.
Troubleshooting
Add detail button frozen
The add detail button does not open a new field row. This is caused by a temporary browser interface lag. You need to refresh the page to unfreeze the layout.
Changes do not apply
The new tracking parameters disappear after you click save. This happens because you left the detail name field entirely blank. You must provide a title for every row before saving.
